"Through him we have obtained access to this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in our hope of sharing the glory of God."

Who We Are

We are a congregation united in our belief that we can only be redeemed through the loving grace of God;  however, we are not rigid in how we celebrate.  Some are silent and reflective in their worship, while others may raise their hands along with their voices.  We are seniors and children, singles and families growing together through joyful worship, enthusiastic ministry and our commitment to God.

Our worship is guided by the Book of Common Prayer. We celebrate Christ in our midst through the weekly Eucharist (usually Rite 2), and through outreach efforts to the needy in the Gillette area and beyond.  We learn together through Christian Education and Youth programs.

Father Tom Fiske has served as Holy Trinity’s rector since 2007.  The little white church was built in 1912 and is one of the oldest churches in Gillette.

What We Do

We pray and worship together in an effort to discover God's will for us. Since the early 1900's Holy Trinity has developed a number of ministries as a result.

Outreach is a fundamental part of life at Holy Trinity.  With leadership through the Outreach Committee, support goes to the YES House (Youth Emergency Services), GARF (The Gillette Abuse Refuge Foundation), The Council of Community Services (an organization that supports a homeless shelter, soup kitchen, thrift shop, food pantry and a community garden), and Personal Frontiers, which provides treatment and counseling to those with chemical addictions.

Each year new opportunities for outreach are proposed by parishioners – recently, Holy Trinity has partnered with the Wyoming Bikers’ Association and has participated in Gillette’s Relay for Life event.  The Sunday School uses Heifer International to buy and donate chickens, rabbits, goats and more to assist the poor around the world.

The choir has also been part of church life since Holy Trinity was established in 1910.  Today anyone is welcome to don a robe and assist in leading the traditional hymns of praise.  Sunday School classes have also met regularly since those early days.  Other ministries that support the weekly service include Alter Guild, ushering, acolytes, and lay readers.

Parishioners at Holy Trinity can play an active role through service on the Vestry, Worship, Building, Stewardship or Outreach committees.  Daughters of the King has a charter at Holy Trinity, and the Episcopal Church Women expand our fellowship regionally.

Where We are Going

As we expand our ministries and welcome new members, we will be able to add more service options and utilize our current space to it’s fullest.  Holy Trinity is an active congregation that strives to make the best use of our time, talents and treasure.  Partnerships with other churches and with the Diocese of Wyoming help stretch our efforts to evangelize, succor the needy and grow.

We are blessed with additional property in Gillette to allow future expansion when the time is ripe.  A building fund has been established for many years and we are ever prayerful, listening for God's plan for Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.

How We Promote Stewardship

Holy Trinity must be a faithful steward of its monetary resources.  Our budgetary needs include salary, housing and insurance for our rector, upkeep and insurance on our physical assets, as well as the diocesan assessment, and funding for Christian Education and Outreach activities.  Our Stewardship pledge drive occurs in November each year and no pledge is ever judged too small or unworthy.

The Stewardship Committee also innovates to make our needs and goals visible throughout the year, focusing on the idea that stewardship can be much more than filling out the annual pledge card.  The congregation provides many regular, in-kind donations to the church; annual Spring Clean Up, barbeque fundraiser and auction, hosts for coffee hour, editors for newsletters, caretakers for church and office housekeeping - to name a few.
